How We Research and Write

Every article on The Turnery is written to help wood turners make better decisions — not to fill pages or earn affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how we work.

Research Process

For product reviews and comparisons, we research actual user experiences, technical specifications, manufacturer data, and expert turner feedback. We consult multiple sources and flag when hands-on testing was not possible.

Accuracy and Corrections

We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error — factual, technical, or otherwise — please contact us at [email protected]. We will review and correct the article within 48 hours and note the correction at the bottom of the post.

Affiliate Transparency

Some articles contain affiliate links. These are always disclosed at the top of the article. Affiliate relationships never influence our ratings, rankings, or recommendations. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Updates

The wood turning tool market changes. We review and update older articles when products are discontinued, new alternatives emerge, or prices change significantly. The 'last updated' date at the top of each article reflects when the content was last reviewed.

AI and Content Tools

We use AI-assisted tools to help draft and structure content. All content is reviewed, edited, and verified by a human editor with wood turning knowledge before publication. AI output is a starting point, not a finished product.
